Specialists are looking today (new procedures to facilitate the clearance of imported goods) in the East Chamber
Professional and interested people are looking in important areas to introduce the program of mutual recognition and conformity certificate issuance procedures, customs and the Ministry of trade and industry in the clearance of goods at workshop (new procedures to facilitate the clearance of imported goods) organized by the Saudi Commission for specifications, standards and quality, in cooperation with the East Chamber attended by the Governor of the Authority Dr. Saad bin Osman Al-kasabi Wednesday 29 January 2014 on main Chamber in Dammam.
Dr. Alqosabi said that the workshop aims to sensitize and guide exporters to obtain a certificate of conformity for products, unifying concept of application to the program between relevant authorities, adding to the part of the efforts to activate those programs with relevant government agencies and programs recognized and effective impact on consumer protection, local market shoddy products and the reduction of counterfeit and adulterated and poor quality, in addition to reducing technical barriers to trade and the delay in the glades and ensuing costs Trailing both the exporter or importer to ensure the speed up for the approval process and the product tested in the country of origin through the actors recognized by the body. He said that the workshop will be an opportunity to exchange valuable information with entrepreneurs and professionals as well as recent developments in the sector, explaining its importance in highlighting all of the new procedures for clearance of imported goods.
The Chamber Secretary-General Abdulrahman Abdullah Alwabil said that the workshop will be attended by the trade and industry Ministry Undersecretary for Consumer Affairs Fahad Bin Abdulrahman Al-alglagl, Director General of customs restrictions Abdulmohsen bin Abdul Rahman shanafey, Director of the recognition Commission Abdul Aziz bin Brahim alhanihan as speakers in this workshop where various aspects of the review comes most notably: definition recognition program and the procedures for issuing certificates of conformity and workshop breakout session to explain some information to help understand the new processes and procedures.
